Privacy Policy

Overview

GrabURL is a browser extension for Safari and Chrome that copies the active browser tab's URL to your clipboard when you click the toolbar icon or press the keyboard shortcut. That is the entirety of what it does.

Data collected

None. GrabURL does not collect, store, transmit, or log any data of any kind. There is no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporting, and no usage tracking.

Network access

GrabURL makes no network requests whatsoever. There is no server component, no backend, and no external service involved. The URL you copy never leaves your device.

Permissions

GrabURL requests two browser permissions:

• activeTab — allows the extension to read the URL of the currently active tab at the moment you invoke it. The URL is used solely to write it to your clipboard; it is not stored or transmitted.
• clipboardWrite — allows the extension to write text to your clipboard. This is how the URL gets copied.

No other permissions are requested or used.

Third parties

GrabURL has no third-party integrations, SDKs, or dependencies that could collect data. There are no advertisements, no affiliate links, and no in-app purchases.
